Position Summary:
MultiCare Health System is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager, Employee & Labor Relations to join a dynamic and collaborative HR team.   This team is comprised of five other HR Managers providing human resources services to an assigned hospital and/or business unit, with an emphasis on labor and employee relations.

The primary focus of this individual contributor role is to provide guidance and leadership in managing complex human resource functions through job design, staffing plans, selection, orientation, compensation, recognition/rewards, employee and labor relations (grievances, arbitration, regulatory complaints, legal claims), organizational development, performance management, and workforce development strategies.  This  highly collaborative position will work with other leaders and act as a mentor to increase their focus on patient experience, employee engagement, employee relations and leadership skills.

Minimum Requirements:
Seven years’ experience in Human Resources required, to include employee relations, labor/collective bargaining negotiations and policy development/implementation in a large organization, preferably in health care Experience in auditing the personnel function, interpretation of personnel policy, and managing a wide range of employee relations issues

Bachelor’s degree in related field required; Masters degree in personnel administration, business or related field preferred Juris Doctorate and active legal credentials may substitute for all or part of the HR experience requirements Recognized human resources professional certification preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP etc.)
