The amazing Hotel Nia is looking for their next great hire to join the leadership team. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead our associate engagement to the highest levels ever. Reporting directly to the GM, this role will manage a team of two and focus on associate recruiting, engagement and performance management for our 180 outstanding team members. Posting Overview:

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for the short and long term planning and management of the Human Resources functions. Acts as a strategic advisor to management on all people related matters. Promotes a positive working culture, associate high performance, quality service and empowerment to associates. Leads various functions including; recruitment, on-boarding, associate relations, state and federal compliance, benefits administration, workers compensation and safety.


  • Superior communication skills. Manage ideas and decision-making with creativity and innovation. Proven ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence professionals and/or guests. Bi-lingual fluency preferred. Must be hospitality oriented. Must possess ability to work under pressure. Strong skill at completing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced high energy environment. Excellent hearing required to discern/resolve employee complaints, issues and participation in meetings for feedback. Excellent vision required -100% in review preparation of all documentation -applications, write-ups, reviews. Excellent speech communication skills required for communicating benefits policy, provide testimony training. Excellent comprehension and literacy required for review and preparation of all documentation.


  • Four to five years of employment in human resources or related field.
  • Proven successful implementation of people resource process.
  • Union experiences a plus. Four year college degree or equivalent/education experience.
