Employee and Labor Relations Manager

About the position

Olympic College is seeking a strong, compassionate leader to join its Human Resources team as the Employee and Labor Relations Manager. This position is responsible for day-to-day operations of employee and labor relations administration in the areas of workplace issues, investigations, contract interpretation, grievance administration, performance management consultation, case management for employee leave and accommodations, management of College/Union relationships, and providing consistent, timely, and accurate advice to supervisors and employees in interpreting College policies, procedures, and contracts.

Olympic College has contracts with 2 labor unions: The Olympic College Association for Higher Education (AHE) for Faculty and the Washington Public Employees Association (WPEA) for full time staff. 

Qualifications and Skills


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in Human Resource Management or a related field.
  • Two (2) years' experience in Human resources, specifically employee and labor relations.
  • Experience with and knowledge of federal and state employment law. 
  • Experience interpreting and applying Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) provisions.
  • Intermediate computer skills, Microsoft Office preferred.

Equivalent education & credentials that demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.
