In this role, you will conduct Kaiser Permanente labor relations activities by preparing information for management to utilize during the collective bargaining process. You will collect information on industrial labor relation programs to ensure compliance with the union’s negotiated contract; provide information for resolving disputes or grievances between employees and management; and researching labor policies. You will also process complaints from unionized employees and participate in arbitration processes as appropriate. In addition, you will develop new or revised union contracts; compile labor statistical information; and maintain records of wage and salary surveys or correspondence.

Qualifications Include:

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, social/behavioral science, education, public administration, liberal arts, or a related field
  • At least five years of experience in HR consulting, including at least three years in employee and/or labor relations
  • Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement

Preferred Qualifications Include:

  • One year of experience working in a unionized environment
  • Three years of experience working cross-functionally across departments, functions, or business lines
  • Human Resources Professional Certification (SHRM-CP or PHR) or other accredited HR certification
  • Senior Human Resources Professional Certification (SHRM-SCP or SPHR)
  • One year of experience consulting senior leaders or executives
  • Four years of experience conducting EEO and/or other HR investigations
