SALARY:$86,524.87 - $149,387.13 Annually, plus Benefits

POSITION: Under general direction, provides labor relations support and acts as Agency liaison in the areas of discipline and grievances; conducting investigations; review and interpretation of collective bargaining agreements; and other work as required within the County Executive Office.

IDEAL CANDIDATE: Will be an experienced labor relations professional who is self-motivated with an aptitude for independent judgment, and a critical thinker with proven ability to take charge of multiple projects at the same time and see them through to completion. Experience performing generalist and/or specialist analytical labor relations work in a unionized environment is highly desired. Performing such duties in a civil service environment is desired. The successful candidate for this position will enjoy working in a very fast-paced, dynamic environment, have the proven ability to collaborate with various groups.

APPROXIMATE SALARY: Personnel Analyst II: $3,327.88 - $4,659.49 biweekly; Personnel Analyst III: $4,103.64 - $5,745.66 biweekly

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Considerable (Personnel Analyst II) to extensive (Personnel Analyst III) experience in labor relations working for a large public or private employer which has led to the acquisition of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

The required knowledge, skills and abilities can be obtained by progressively responsible experience as a specialist providing highly specialized personnel (labor relations) services.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: - Considerable experience performing labor relations responsibilities at a professional level including conducting investigations and handling appeals procedures related to discipline and contractual rights. - Excellent written communication skills must be demonstrated in the completion of the employment application and supplemental questionnaire. - This position requires occasional travel to various work sites throughout Ventura County. Therefore, incumbent must possess at the time of appointment, and maintain thereafter, a valid California driver license. - Prepare and present comprehensive reports and recommendations in written and oral form to a variety of individuals and groups.

DESIRED: Experience working in a public sector civil service environment with multiple unions.
