Link to application and full position listing The Champaign-Urbana Public Health District (CUPHD) is seeking to fill a full-time (40-hour week) Labor Relations Specialist position. The selected candidate will work closely with the Director of Human Resources in negotiating, interpreting and administering labor contracts regarding issues such as wages and salaries, benefits, union and management practices, and bargaining rights. Bachelor’s degree in labor relations, human resources, industrial relations, business administration or other relevant areas and five (5) years of labor and employee relations experience including leading or assisting with collective bargaining negotiations, contract administration, administrative hearings or other closely related experience is required. Any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position will also be considered. After six months of employment, the selected candidate may be considered for a flexible or part-time remote work schedule. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources.
