Applications are invited for the position of Chair of the DAN Department of Management & Organizational Studies (MOS), Faculty of Social Science, at The University of Western Ontario, effective July 1, 2018. The appointment as Chair will normally be for a five-year term, renewable.

The DAN Department is located in the Faculty of Social Science, which is ranked among the top 100 social science faculties in the world by QS (91st in July 2017). This unique department combines a strong foundation in the social sciences with conventional business specializations, including consumer behaviour, finance, accounting, organizational behavior, human resources, and commercial aviation. It is one of the largest departments at Western, with over 3,000 students. The department plans to make many new hires at both the probationary and tenured levels over the next few years. The Chair will be appointed at the rank of Full Professor with tenure, will be committed to quality undergraduate and graduate teaching, and have a strong research record. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a social science discipline, administrative experience, and a willingness to work towards the development of a new graduate program. The new Chair should also have an appreciation for interdisciplinary social science research, have excellent communication skills, and be a decisive leader and change agent.
