Registration is online. All participants and attendees must register, including speakers and discussants (chairs, panelists, presenters, speakers, discussants, etc.). The earlybird registration deadline is March 25, 2019. Online registration will be open through June 7, 2019. After that, onsite registration will be offered at the LERA headquarters hotel, the Westin Cleveland Downtown, beginning June 13, 2019. Registration will open at 7am on the opening day of the conference and at 8am on the second, third, and fourth day of the conference.

Pre-conference Training for Arbitrators, Mediators, and Fact-finders

The Dispute Resolution Interest section of LERA is pleased to announce an arbitration training seminar for aspiring or newer arbitrators interested in exploring how to commence and grow a career as a neutral.  This three (3) hour program will feature the basics of establishing  an arbitration practice plus an opportunity to interactively obtain guidance from a panel of five (5)  highly experienced labor and employment presenting arbitrators.

LERA 21st PhD Student Consortium

The LERA 21st Annual PhD Student Consortium will be held in conjunction with LERA's 71st Annual Meeting, and is chaired by: Jenna Myers, MIT; Benjamin Kreider, Brandeis; Hyesook Chung, Cornell; and Bulin Zhang, Rutgers.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019, 8:30 - 11:45 am with other events continuing throughout the day. To register for this event, you must first register for the meeting, and indicate on the registration form that you plan to attend the PhD Student Consortium.

LRAN 2019 Conference, June 12-13, 2019, Cleveland

 The 2019 Labor Research and Action Network (LRAN) national conference will be held Wednesday, June 12 and Thursday, June 13 at Case Western Reserve University. Scholars, labor practitioners, and activists from across the country will convene in Cleveland, Ohio to share new ideas, research and best practices, and to identify points of connection and collaboration. This year’s conference will examine The Future of Workers and LRAN invites participants from universities, unions, worker centers, and policy centers.

Transportation from Airport

Directions from area airports to Westin Cleveland Downtown can be searched here.
There is convenient train service from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) to downtown Cleveland, on the RTA Red Line. It costs $2.50 each way, departs every 15 minutes, and takes less than 30 minutes to travel to or from Downtown Cleveland’s "Tower City Station".

Transportation in Cleveland

Once downtown, at Tower City Station, you will find a free E-Line Trolley that loops between all the major downtown hotels and downtown destinations, Westin Cleveland Downtown included. Their hours of service are Monday - Friday from 7 am to 7 pm.
